ABOUT

A Story Steeped in Sound

Reid & Writes plays original music as diverse as the landscape, weather, and people of Southern Alberta. Who else has songs titled “Lethbridge” or “Longbottom Road”?

Lyrics are poetic and each song is a unique experience.

We are a four-piece band (acoustic guitar, bass, drums, and fiddle) that plays spirited music with sweet harmonies. Our second album, Old Lady Blue, is available now on Bandcamp, and is coming to streaming services everywhere this summer!

Band members

Our current lineup is anchored by our principal songwriter, lead vocals and guitar, Reid Seibert. On percussion and vocals, Jason Gibson. On fiddle and vocals, Kelsey Jespersen. On bass and vocals, Bud Haycock. We are also joined from time to time by our amigo Bill Lawson, who plays bass, guitar, vocals, and all manner of things!

Our live lineup can differ a little from performance to performance, depending on the style of music and the venues where we are playing.
